8-Point Sockets The right tool for square head bolts and square nuts. These are somewhat more difficult to find nowadays as only about half as many brands are on the market. Stanley has discontinued their 8-point sockets; but we have managed to pick up a few at reasonable prices. The brands we are currently aware of are Craftsman, Proto, Snap-On, Wright,  Westward and Williams. We will stock the Stanley and Craftsman sockets as long as we can continue to buy them at reasonable prices; then we will stock Westward. Only Williams and Wright make all the sizes, but we only stock the sizes that others don't have, as the Wrights are more expensive. Wright sockets are available individually and Williams sockets are only available in sets. Wright and Williams are both made in the USA. For those who regularly use a wide range of 8-point sockets, The Williams 1/2" Drive, Set of 14 Sockets, from 3/8" to 1-1/4", is an especially good buy. Adding up the 14 individual socket prices yields a total of $220.95. The Williams set is only $174.95, and includes two wall mounting rails with clips. You will find it at the bottom of the table.
