Finding Large Wood Screws

Large diameter wood screws, i.e. #16 and up, are getting harder and harder to find on the open market. They simply aren't being made anymore, either domestically or abroad. Blacksmith Bolt & Rivet Supply is trying to build up a good supply of these large wood screws before they disappear entirely. 

Generally we have to buy wood screws that are zinc-plated. We then have the zinc stripped and the screws are either left plain (flat head) or black oxided (oval and round head). Our current selection of large slotted flat head screws can be found here, our round heads here and our oval heads here.

The scarcity of large wood screws extends to Phillips drive as well. If you are looking for large wood screws, either slotted or Phillips, shoot us an email and we'll see if we can hunt some down.
