I use the 3/16" rivets for doing decorative work on coat racks and items that have larger flat areas. I substitute the #10 screws in strategic places where the item may need to be fastened to a back piece. The screw head being about the same size as the rivet head makes it almost invisible. They were made to work together, even the colors match closely.

These are the best! They can be cut to fit any project I make using these small rivets.
