The 3/8"-16 X 3" is a great bolt to have on hand as it is long enough do most jobs and if for some reason you do not have all of the shorter lengths that Blacksmith Bolt & Rivet offers, you can use the 3" in an emergency and then cut them off. We chose to stock a few of just about every bolt the is offered and we have never regretted doing that. The black oxide is great for our restoration work.
